I have some very good memories of Ed during the early 70's when he coached our hockey team to the Ontario Bantam finals. He was a good community minded man, who I often thought of, when I became an adult and coached kids hockey. My condolences to the DEANS family.

To : The Deans Family I have lots of memories from my early days at the rink with your dad being there and the few yrs that i had him as a coach in minor hockey .He not only taught us sports skills but life skills. Playing at the Queens rink was a great thrill at the age of 12 . Without a doubt Eddie is one of just a rare few that brought so much to the town over the years and not just in sports but in overall contribution to the whole town Very sorry for your loss but I am sure that it is a relief to you all that he is now at peace My Thoughts are with you Paul and family
