Jaime Davis posted a condolence

My name is Jaime Davis. I am Doug Mills' grandson. I've been struggling trying to find out how to contact my great grandparents and came upon this. I actually spent time with them when I was a child when I travelled from Calgary to see them. I remember picking peas from their garden in the summer. I remember it very fondly. I also went to visit them when I was about 20 and had a great time. I now live in Kitchener-Waterloo and would really like it if I could get in contact with more blood relatives. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Jaime

Uncle Bruce visited us in California many times, he loved the desert landscape with all the rocks and different trees. We remember visiting Uncle Bruce the last time in Canada and sharing his many gardening stories and vegetables, boy could he tend a garden. Not to mention his love and masterful ability to play cards. We also loved Aunt Jo and Uncle Bruce for their joy in every day living and their care with family. We were so fortunate to have gotten to know Jeanette better when she came visited with Bruce and Jo. They will also be favorites of ours. We know Uncle Bruce is tending his best and biggest garden!!! Love to everyone, Kathy and Steve

My memories of Uncle Bruce are of fun and laughter, always looking for the fun side of a story with a big smile. I remember one Christmas when Uncle Bruce and Aunt Jo were at my Mom and Dad's house, I wanted to get him a present but I really did not know what to get him. I finally bought him a back scratcher from Chinatown in San Francisco and wrapped it up. When he opened it, he was surprised and thought it was a great gift because we could joke about it which created a lot of fun for the holidays. Sending my prayers and thoughts to all his family. With love, Patrice & family

I don't know where to start. I will never forget your laughter Grandpa. It has ALWAYS been a proud moment every time I talked about you and Grandma. I always, (To This Day Still), brag about my Grandparents. So many people are also so proud of you two, people you will never know. Being a Taxi Driver, I talk to alot of people over the years. All my life was filled with so many fond memories from the time I was probably 4 years old. One thing I want to say is, I don't remember one single time in my life, EVER seeing you angry or hearing anger in your voice. You always seem to be so peaceful. I Love You Grandpa. We Will Meet Again. Love Rusty OXOXO

Uncle Bruce was always full of laughter. When he and Aunt Jo came to visit us in California - our house was full of life. He made the best pumpkin pies and was a whirlwind in the kitchen. I will miss my favorite Uncle - but feel so blessed to have had him in my life. Love you Uncle Bruce, Janny
