Obituary of Douglas Clark

Clark: Douglas (Retired from Stelco) Member of the Thousand Island Bluegrass Association. Enjoyed playing his homemade upright Bass that he built with his brother Buddy. Favorite pastime was playing music and spending time with his family. After a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by family, Douglas passed away on February 21, 2009 at the Kingston General Hospital. Devoted husband of 52 years to Elsie (Day). Loving father of Lennie (Heather) of Waterford, John (Colette) of Lyndhurst, Bill of Gananoque and Debbie (Mark) Walker of Wantage New Jersey. Grandpa to Andy, Marcia, Dennis, Jeff and Emily Clark, Shelby and Breanna Johnston, Step grandfather of Krysta and James Clark. Great grandfather of Rylee and Jake. Brother of Buddy Clark and Mildred Serson. Also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother and father Gertrude McKenna and Agustus Clark and brothers Donald, Jerry, James and Jr. Clark. The family will receive friends at the Tompkins Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 7-9 pm. Memorial Service will be held from our chapel on Wednesday February 25 at 11:00 am. Inurnment Olivet Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the UHKF St. Mary's of the Lake Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family.
