After a short illness at the Kingston General Hospital with family by her side on Wednesday January 7, 2009. Joy Henshaw, beloved wife of the late Douglas Slack. Loving mother of Gail White (Bob) and Lynn Phillips (Phil). Cherished grandmother of Michael, Laurie, Donna, Doug and Katie. Great grandmother of Michaela, Olivia, Gracie and Clara. Predeceased by 1 granddaughter Carrie Coates. Dear sister of Bill (Sonny) Henshaw and Fay Gordon. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Tompkins Funeral Home 63 Garden Street Gananoque on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from our chapel on Saturday January 10 at 11:00 am,. Interment Gananoque Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
