My thoughts and prayers go out to Gail, Lynn, Sonny, Fay & family. I had the pleasure of meeting Joy while I was a patient at St. Mary's of the Lake in September 06. She was my room-mate and was a great lady. She was always joking that if i didn't be quiet she would hit me with her cane....It was quite funny as I'm sure Joy wouldn't hurt a flea. My stay at St. Mary's was a pleasant experience because of Joy. Her family included me when they came to visit. I have thought of Joy many times since my stay at St. Mary's and always wondered how she was doing. It was a nice surprise that I ran into Joy just before Christmas...she was shopping with her sister, Fay. We had a little chat and went on our way and I said I would give her a call sometime. Sadly now that isn't possible but she will not be forgotten and I'm sure one day we will meet again. God Bless

Gail and Lynn we were very sad to hear of your Mom's death. She was a great lady and will be missed. In our youth I remember the parties held on Osbourne St, and all of the old gang (Mortons, Covells, Slacks and Gerry Salter) had a great time and are continuing in heaven. Our prayers are with you.

It is with deep regret that I've read of the passing of Joy. Her name suited her and all her life she brought joy to everyone who knew her. The world is a poorer place without her, but Heaven's doors opened to her and she's at peace. My heart goes out to Gail and Lyn and their families. Joy was a wonderful mother and grandmother and a wonderful friend to us all. Although you grieve, just know that she is with her beloved 'Sir' and granddaughter Carrie. She will be missed by everyone that knew her. We will see you Saturday to say our goodbye. We are so sorry to hear of Joy's passing. I can remember when my dad Hubert passed away and my sister Cathy and I spend hours with Joy and Doug while the wake was being held. I will never forget her kindness to us. You are all in our thought and prayers.
