To the Turner Family: I am so sorry to read of the loss of your loved one. It seems all to frequent many are losing the battle to cancer. During times like this it is all to easy to feel helpless and without hope. I take comfort in God's word the bible when faced with situations similar to what you and your family may be going through. Revelation 21:4 and Isaiah 25:8 speak of a time when death and sickness will be a thing of the past. These promises are certain to come true because God can not lie. Continue to ask him for endurance until that time comes. My prayers are with you and your dear family.

Derrick and his entire family have always been a part of the extended Clare family for as long as I can remember. My birthday is on Boxing Day and Mom always held an open house for family and friends on that day. The year my daughter, Stacie was four, she witnessed Derrick giving me his big bear hug and a kiss to wish me happy birthday. Well, four days later as I was getting ready to go to the Curling Club for New Year's Eve, Stacie said, "Is that curly haired man with the beard going to be there?" I replied, "Probably." She burst out crying and said she didn't want me to go. When I asked why, she told me she didn't want that man kissing me again. For thirty years this wonderful man, Stacie and I have shared and celebrated this story. Now, Stacie and I will continue to celebrate. Love you Derrick!
