Jack, I just heard about your dad. It's been a long time since the days at St. Joseph's but having just lost my father recently I know what you're going through and like us I'm sure its great to have a large, close family to help get through this tough time. All the best.

To all the Morton Family. I remember all the trips that Jack and the Burt work crew made with the Water Taxi to the many homes that he was instrumental in building in the 1000 Islands. It was always nice to see his smiling face. My deepest sympathies Peter Brooks

Many years ago, I was best man at Jack and Audrey's wedding. During WW2, Jack and I shared some fine adventures in the Navy. My sympathies are with you as you grieve. Jack will be missed.

My sincere condolences on the passing of Jack. I am sorry that I just found out this morning and am not able to literally fly to Gananoque in time to attend the service today or drink a few beers at the legion with you. I always thought word travelled faster than that in Gananoque. Please know I would be there if I could. Looking at this photo - and that grin - I think you have captured his true spirit and character. Many a time, usually trying to track down Lorraine and Michael and Peggy for a boatride, I would enter the kitchen, where Jack would be sitting in his easy-chair with the same grin and have a handle on all of you - where you were, what you were up to...even Jack and Donny in the old days ...and more recently what the grandkids were doing..quite amazing considering there is so damn many of you. He certainly didn't have to venture far; his world came to him, with all of you coming and going and the whole time, he was truly one of the gang and held his own in the cajoling and the joking. I don't underestimate the difficulty of his passing, and that of your mom's before - quite the legacy they have left the world...all of you and your adventures, successes, and fun times together will hopefully allow you to continue that legacy on. I will certainly raise a glass today at the local tavern here in his honour and please know that I am thinking of you. Love Annalee
