I always remember my Uncle, Father Ed, coming to visit our House and it lit up like a Christmas Tree. I also remember my Uncle Vinny, stealing his cigars so he wouldn’t smoke them on the Golf Course….but Father Ed fooled him, by keeping “backup” in his golf bag! I’d like to say, that I miss all my Uncles and Aunts, and I know they’ll all be there to welcome him to Heaven. I’m sure when the doors of Heaven opened….Ken and his Brothers and Sisters were there to welcome him home, with a rousing chorus of: “For your Friends are my Friends.” Bless you Father Ed….you’ll always be in my prayers. Love….Nephew Terry Keyes and Family.

In the early days when Father Ed was at St.Mary's, Joe Keyes had car car parked next door at the Fire Station so Father Ed could be home on the weekend as his Mother dearly missed him. Joe explain it this way to the Arch Bishop " She doesn't mind giving up her son to the Lord, but she would like him home for Friday's dinner.

We extend our deepest sympathy to Father Ed’s nieces and nephews. So many fond memories, including our Catholic Register Pilgrimage to Europe in 1980. When in Picton, Father Ed so enjoyed coming after Saturday evening Masses for a casual dinner visit and to relax watching sports on TV afterwords.
Missing you Father Ed. May your soul rest in peace.

My deepest sympathy to family & friends on the death of Father Keyes. Father was a sweet, kind and gentle man whom I always enjoyed having a chat with at the Diocesan Centre and then Carveth Care Centre. You shall be missed. Rest in Eternal Peace, Father Keyes.
