Obituary of Doug Hall

Douglas Ross Hall.

Aug 20 1947-Feb 28 2022.

Doug was predeceased by his father Gordon, mother Dorothy ( nee Rae) and friend Marg Brier. Doug was born in Kirkland Lake and lived in Virginiatown, Bancroft, Manitouwadge, Sudbury and for many years in Brantford. In retirement Doug enjoyed going for long walks in the bush and taking pictures for his Flickr account-Doug’s photos at large- and playing cards at the Navy club. Doug will be missed by his sister Kathy Francis (Irv), brother Bruce  (Debbie) and sister Arlene  Funnell (Pat) and his nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. At Doug’s request there will be no funeral service. Donations to Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre would be appreciated by the family in lieu of flowers. We would like to thank the staff in the ICU in both Brantford General Hospital and Hamilton General Hospital for their expert and professional care. Special thank you  to Dr Freitag in Hamilton. Doug chose not to get vaccinated and he died of covid-19. Doug’s family would like to encourage everyone to please get vaccinated to protect yourself and to save your family from the heartache that ours has gone through.
