I met Doug a few years ago on the Dickson Wildlife trail. While chatting we discovered that we both belonged to the Flickr photography site. We exchanged names and followed each others photo postings.
We met a number of times on the Dickson and Drynan trails and always had friendly chats about anything from birds to politics.
I had not seen Doug for a number of weeks on the trail, I noticed the sad news in todays Expositor.
I will miss our chats and friendly debates. The birds and insects will miss Doug and his Canon camera.
Rest in Peace Doug,
