It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thelma Margaret Modler on December 19, 2021 at age 77.

Thelma is survived by her husband, Dale, her daughters, Anne (James) and Jeanette as well as her sister, Brenda Hollister.

Thelma was a good friend to many and never met a dog she did not like. She was always eager to chat and always ready to listen.

In addition to her surviving kin, Thelma had a “chosen” family of customers and staff at Gananoque Home Hardware.

While there are so many people to thank for their love and support during Thelma’s illness, the family wishes to thank Laura Ware, Pastor Daniel Massey as well as Melissa and Dave McWilliam. The family also wishes to thank Heather Howard and the staff at Fox Run for their care and compassion.

 

A celebration of life for Thelma will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Thelma’s memory to Sheba’s Haven Rescue or Gananoque Wheels of Care would be gratefully acknowledged.
