Peacefully at the Carveth Care Centre on Sunday February 10, 2013, 8 days before her 98th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Karlis Kalnins. Loving mother of Ilga Grolig, Silvija (Larry Shaw), Astrida Kalnins and Anna O'Hearn (Daniel). Oma of Jeffrey Grolig (Audrey), Susan Schaefer(Rohn), Karl and Alan Shaw, Chuck Langley, Amanda Cartwright (Scott) and Vanessa (Jeff Fodey). Dear Great Grandmother of Kelsey, Daniel and Chloe Grolig, Michael and Katie Schaefer, Cyrus Shaw, Ben and Austin Cartwright and Lukas Fodey. Predeceased by 2 brothers and 2 sisters all from Latvia and by 1 son in law Franz Grolig. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends at the Tompkins Funeral Home 63 Garden St. Gananoque on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. John the Evangelist church on Friday at 11am. Rite of committal Gananoque cemetery.
