Stallan: William "Bill"

It's with the heaviest of hearts that we share the passing of William (Bill aka Willard) Stallan on October 1st in Kingston.  Bill passed peacefully, surrounded by his girls.  He is predeceased by his parents, Harry and Edythe, and his sisters Barb and Jill.  He is survived by his 'long suffering' wife of nearly 50 years Penny, his loving daughters Holly (James) and Sarah (Michael).  'Daddy Bills' to Henry and Emily.  Best ever Dog-father to Rory and Kayleigh, along with countless other fur babies.  Bill fought a remarkable battle, without a single complaint.  He had more grit than Clint Eastwood.  He will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, quick wit and often polarizing sense of humour.  A real rascal.  He welcomed all, equally, and with contagious enthusiasm.  A lifelong camper, lover of the outdoors, and especially the 1000 Islands.  We wish to share our heartfelt thanks to Dr.Bisleri for giving us an extra 4 years with our guy.  In addition, we have sincere appreciation for the nurses and entire medical staff at both Kingston General Hospital and Providence Care for the exceptional support they provided.  In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in honour of Dr. Gian Bisleri to St. Michael's Hospital Foundation's Walter and Maria Schroeder Brain & Heart Centre at 416-864-5000 or www.stmichaelsfoundation.com/donate/ .

There will be a celebration of life held in Toronto in the late spring to commemorate their milestone 50th wedding anniversary.
