Obituary of Ben Tackaberry

Benjamin Merrick Leonard Tackaberry 1930-02-03 to 2020-10-05 With great sadness, we announce the loss of our father, beloved husband and caring “Pa”. We’ve shared our lives these many years. You’ve held my hand: You’ve held my heart. So many blessings, so few tears- Yet for a moment we must part Ben was the son of the late Bruce and Ella Tackaberry. He was the oldest brother to the late Malcom (late Betty Menczel & widowed Donna Steeles) and kid sister, Judith Anne (the late Ron Holsgrove). Edith (Breckenridge), his wife of 67 years is being comforted by their children, Eric (late Donna Binkey), Linda (Don Little), and Beth (Dagg Abrams). Their grandchildren are Laura (Darcy), Sarah (Ben), Krista (Brad), Nicole (Siyath), Amber (Nick), Amy (Adam Currie), Adam, Andrew (Kyla). Ben enjoyed his eleven great grandchildren who all called him Pa. Due to these unprecedented times, a private family service will take place after cremation. For those wishing to donate in his memory, he has suggested St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, the Gananoque Cemetery or your chosen charity. Ben and the family thank nurses from Bayshore Palliative Care and everyone at Fox Run for their overwhelming compassion and exemplary care in his final passage to peace.
