We’re thinking of you Eric and Edith along with your family during this sad time. We’ll always remember Ben for his keen interest and discussions of the ups and downs of Scotiabank shares and the overall stock market. He seemed to really enjoy following the financial sector. Big hugs to all the family. Take care. Bill & Nicole xoxox

From Bob and Cathy Griffin and family, and Andy White
To dear Edith, Eric, Linda, Beth and your Tackaberry families: With our deepest and most sincere condolences in the loss of your Ben, a most devoted and genuine friend to our family for more than 50 years. He touched each of our lives in so many ways, and so enjoyed his days spent at the lake with my father Lew, my uncle Ernie and their wives, Eva and Vera. What memories we have of the times shared, planting potatoes and onions, harvesting, net fishing, guiding, hunting and trapping, and so many hours helping with the chores at Griffin's Lakeside Cottages, much like his son Eric had.
Ben certainly left a most positive lasting impression with many of our fishing guests as he guided for a number of years. To myself, Ben was a parent, a mentor, a role model with such a degree of integrity and honesty that always came through in whatever challenged him. May you, his family, find solace, peacefulness and joy in knowing what a great contribution he made in the lives of so many Gananoque youth from hockey to the canoe club and beyond, truly having a positive influence on hundreds of young folks. Congratulations Ben, on a job well done and a life well lived. You have been so blessed with your partner and family.
So, thank you Ben, you will always be one of the best and most magical people I have ever had the joy of knowing. Cheers to you my friend, old Bob and family
From Andy, Thank you "Gentle Ben", remember to get your deer finder on, happy hunting, from McGoo. We loved you.

Condolences to Edith, Eric, Linda, Beth and families on Ben's passing. From the many stories Dad told me of their paddling days, being neighbours on Arthur Street, to the stories around Griffins table about fishing and hunting adventures always lots to hear and talk about. May your memories sustain you through this time. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

My memories of Ben in my youth will always be cherished. The hours and days we spent catching bait, cutting wood and trapping coons with my uncle Lew will never be forgotten. I can imagine them both doing much the same as we speak. Ben was always inventing a better mouse trap to tackle our daily challenges especially with the cagey golden shiner. He was a tireless worker who would always lend a hand at Griffins , and would bring us the news of the town on his visits.
I thank Ben for his friendship, his mentorship and so many enjoyable days we spent together. My sincere condolences to Edith and the Tackaberry families. Rest In Peace my friend.
