Obituary of Gladys May Taillon

Please share a memory of Gladys to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Taillon: Gladys May It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Gladys May Taillon. Mom was our rock, our pillar of strength and a true model of caring, compassion and kindness. Born Gladys May Sly, May 8, 1931 to the late Lester and Beatrice (Spraggs) and predeceased by her beloved husband Edgar Taillon. As a long time Gananoque resident, Gladys was old school where hard work, family and friends were the most important things in life. Mom is now free from pain and suffering and resting peacefully. She will be forever missed by her children James (Patricia) Rombough, Gloria (John) Donovan, Ted (Valeria) Rombough, Tom (Brenda deceased) Rombough, Michael (deceased) (Sonya) Rombough and Patricia Jacobs and (Greg), step children Gary, Judy, Dianne, Cindy, Chris and Tammy Taillon. Mom was predeceased by her siblings Ruth (Don) Wood and George (Yvonne) Sly. Leaves behind her sister Beatrice (Richard) Hansen and step sister Liz (Don) Yott. Mom had 13 grand children and numerous great grand children nieces and nephews. Her caring, compassion, kindness and lifetime of giving to others in so many ways highlight her journey through her life and sets her apart from all others. A Graveside service will be held at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens on Thursday October 8 at 11:00 am. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to Mom's favorite charity: the Gananoque Food Bank would be appreciated by the family.
