Obituary of Wayne Laviolette

Laviolette: Lawrence “Wayne” Passed away after a 13 year battle with Parkinson’s Disease at the Carveth Care Centre with his wife and daughter by his side on Saturday March 28, 2020 at the age of 81. Wayne Laviolette was the beloved husband of 58 years to Carol Laviolette (nee Hilts). Much loved father of Rebecca (Becki) Goff and son-in-law Clifford. Cherished grandfather of Matheson and Mackinley Goff. Predeceased by his parents Hilda and Alexander Laviolette and his 2 sisters Ruth Baldwin and Anne Garrah. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Wayne, a resident of Carveth Care Centre for the past 4 years, was a retired Cost Accounting Clerk for 30 years at Stelco, as well as a former Gananoque Town Councillor. The family wishes to extend their special thanks to the Carveth Care Centre for their respectful and compassionate care Wayne received. A Celebration of Wayne’s Life will be held at the Tompkins Funeral Home at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to the Parkinson’s Society Ontario or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
