Beveridge, Heather Ann

1946 – 2019

“That though the radiance which was once so bright be now forever taken from my sight. Though nothing can bring back the hour of splendor in the grass, glory in the flower. We will grieve not, rather find strength in what remains behind.”  William Wordsworth.

After a courageous battle with cancer, Heather passed away peacefully with family by her side on February 25.  She was predeceased by her mother Mary MacPherson, husband Geoff Hobbs, survived by daughter Kelly Beveridge, son Patrick Beveridge and her granddaughter Mya Beveridge.

Heather was a devoted mother whose strength knew no bounds.  She was an ambassador to the island for many and was dedicated to keeping the community spirit alive.

A funeral mass will take place at the Church of St. Philomena on Howe Island on Saturday, May 18th at 11 am with a celebration of life to follow at the Parish Hall. Donations in Heather’s memory can be made to the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario at KGH via the University Hospital Kingston Foundation.
