I remember when Carol came to visit us for the first time on Charleston Lake with Danielle, Joey and Travis. I took to her right away. She had a warm genuine smile and I so enjoyed her company on that special visit as I watched her relax as she loved spending that time with her two children and Joey. We also shared a long warm embrace together in private at my home on Danielle and Joey’s wedding day as we both knowlingly shared our unspoken pride towards the union of our two children on that special day. Dear Danielle, Travis, Lola, Jim, Joey and family, I am so deeply sorry for your loss of Carol. My heart goes out to all of you during this sad time. Carol seemed very brave to me as she was determined to stay in her home and her beloved city of Gananoque to enjoy her love of the St. Lawrence river during her final months.
