Gavin (Shareski), Larry

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, Saturday March 3rd at Kingston General Hospital.  Larry is survived by his wife of 46 years, Paula (Poirier), his daughter Brooke, son-in-law Pete Woboditsch, granddaughters, Jasmine and Julia and by his sister Joyce Silverthorne (husband Dick predeceased). He will be fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Claudette and her husband Herve Tremblay, nieces and nephews, Chris, Kellie, Charles, Josee and Renee. Larry had an amazing career in broadcasting that took him from Hamilton, Barrie, Calgary, Sudbury and Ottawa.  Upon retirement, he started a small closed captioning business which grew to become one of the top  captioning companies in Canada.  For the past 11 years, Larry and Paula enjoyed life in Gananoque, boating in the Thousand Islands and wintering in Florida.  Larry will be remembered for his love of family, keen sense of humour, his loyal friendship, and his hard work ethic.  A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
