Peacefully at home, Herb passed away in his 89 year.  We find peace in knowing he is reunited with  Marga and his son Peter.  The Gananoque Marina will miss Herb's stories, although we suspect the stories will continue.  Beloved father to Barb (Rodger Compton) and daughter in law Lisa (Poole) and predeceased by Peter.  Herb's grandchildren, Jessica, Arria, Julia and Lucas were his pride and joy.  He was an Opa to many others.  Best boating buddy to Karl Schneider. Captain Herb was in his glory aboard the Arcturus V tucked in behind Huckleberry or anchored in the bay at Leek.  A celebration of life will be planned for later this year.  Donations can be sent to KGH Women's Auxillary in Herb's memory.
