We were so saddened by the passing of Elin. We did not know until we read the paper. We would have been there for support. She was the nicest, kindest person I think we ever met. She was my "second" mom when I was growing up. I never heard a bad thing about anyone or anything come out of her mouth. Very spiritual and caring person , I will miss her as well as everyone who knew her. Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole family and to deal with the loss of another member of the family is heart breaking.

My condolences to the Phillips family. I had the great pleasure of being with your mom at Fox Run. We had many great chats and there was nothing more she liked to talk about then her family! She was always try to give me chocolates and I would say everytime "a chocolate to my lips is 2 on my hips" and she would laugh every time, it never got old. You were all lucky to have such a wonderful mom.

It is with great sorrow to hear about Elin's passing. We loved her so much and can only imagine how the family is feeling at this time.
Her visits to Winnipeg and Gimli Manitoba leaves us with treasured memories. Her caring, soft approach and positive focus in life continues to resonate with all of us. Most noteworthy was the enjoyable 'catch up chats' she had with her sister Molly - they could talk for hours. And then there was the making of Venatarta - Elin treated us to her homemade specialty dessert...wow.
