Obituary of Robert Godfrey Bird

Bird: Robert Godfrey Passed away at Trillium Retirement and Care Community on Wednesday April 19, 2017 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Jacqueline Bird (nee Chalut). Much loved father of Anne Bird, Laura Bird Santamaria (Javier), Richard (Cathi Richardson) and Barb Hickey (Michael) Cherished grandfather of Kierstin (Kalle Sveder), Emily, Diana, Alexander, James and Julia. Dear brother of Edith LaFrance (Jamie), Virginia Dame and Mary Bird Flynn. Predeceased by his beloved parents, Dr. H. Godfrey Bird and Mrs. Edna Rough Bird, sister Dolly Cornish and by two brothers Richard and Shearman Bird. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Will be fondly remembered by brother in law John Cornish. The family will receive friends at the Tompkins Funeral Home 63 Garden Street Gananoque on Sunday from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. John the Evangelist Church on Monday April 24 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations made to the CNIB would be appreciated by the family
