LINDA AND I WERE SADDENED TO LEARN OF AUBREY'S DEATH. HE WAS A FINE ENGINEER AND A GREAT HELP TO ME IN MY ROLE AS CHAIR OF NOVA SCOTIA POWER IN THE EARLY 1980'S. I VALUED HIS ADVICE ... ALWAYS PRACTICAL AND FOCUSSED. PLEASED TO SEE HE ENJOYED A LENGTHY RETIREMENT AND GRANDCHILDREN. A LIFE WELL SPENT JOE MACDONALD

Dear Verna: I was so saddened to read of Aubrey's death in our paper this morning. I have tried numerous times to locate you, via friends in Ottawa (thinking you were in Ottawa), via your former address here, and via contacts at the IWK, all to no avail. Please know I am thinking of you and your family in sympathy today, and that I think so warmly and wonderingly of you much more often than you can imagine. Perhaps when things settle a bit for you, we may be able to connect by computer or phone. I would like to know how you are doing. Warmest regards, with hugs, Carolyn O. It was my very great privilege to have known Aubrey both as a close personal friend and a valued member of the N B Power Executive Aubrey was greatly respected throghout the Canadian Power Utility Industry for his many contributions to the industry including his major contribution to the completion of the first Nuclear Generating plant to be undertaken in Atlantic Canada Aubrey was known for his total dedication to his family and had an amazing ability to make things happen in whatever he undertook. He combined an outward appearance of toughness with a barely concealed heart of gold. Art O'Connor joins me in extending our most sincere condolences to all the family of this most remarkable friend and gentleman.
