Obituary of Robert Joseph Foley

Foley, Robert Joseph (Bob) of Howe Island Born March 27th, 1943 (Retired from Tackaberry Heating Supplies) Bob had a great love for Howe Island and a greater love for his friends & family. After a courageous battle with cancer, Bob passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital. Son of the late Cecil and Martha Foley (nee Garrah). Beloved husband of Rita (nee Dillon). Loving and dedicated dad to Stephen (Heather), Erin & Justin. Dear brother of Anne Marie Walkey, Linda Dillabough (Merton), & Neil Foley. Nephew of Madeline Foley & Bob Gannon. Son-in-law of John Dillon and the late Florence Dillon (nee Murphy). Also survived by in-laws Rita Dillon, Helen & Jack Harrison, Colleen Dillon, Catherine Dillon, Patrick & Maggi Dillon, Joseph & Monique Dillon, Sister Louise Dillon (RHSJ) Eileen & Randy Grooms. Predeceased by brothers John & Donald Foley, and brothers-in �"law Ernest Walkey, Raymond, Hugh & Donald Dillon. Sadly missed by many special nephews, nieces, cousins & friends & fondly remembered by Stephanie & Mike. Will also be missed by his loyal dog "Al". Special thanks to the medical personnel from All-Care and the health care team at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital. Visitation at Tompkins Funeral Home from 7-9pm Thursday, Dec.1, and 2-4pm and 7-9pm Friday, Dec.2. Mass of Christian burial on Saturday, Dec.3 at 10:00a.m St. John's Roman Catholic Church 270 Stone St. Gananoque. Monsignor Donald Clement & Father John Grainger officiating. Rite of committal, St. Philomena's, Howe Island.
