I ' m sure you will here from others on Axeman who are saddened as I am to hear of Tom ' s sudden death . May I extend condolences to you all . We remember Tom as a great , great river friend .Time after time he was cheerfully , " johnny on the spot " , when we needed transport or , really , any need . Dear Marjorie, Gail and Mrs McVey, We were shocked and saddened to read of Tom's sudden passing. When I think of him, I see him always smiling. Somewhere in my collection of memorabilia, I have a program from my figure skating days. On the front cover is Tom doing a lift with our skating instructress. I believe her name was June Fairburn or something like that. Again Tom was smiling. I'm sure you have many pleasant memories to help you through this very difficult time. Dear Marjorie, Mark and Lorie, We are so sorry to learn of Tom's sudden death. Perhaps he is now giving fishing tips to Jonathan or vice versa. We like to think so. Please know that all of you are in our thoughts. It is so difficult to understand or cope with the overwhelming grief, but, and do trust us, with time the grief becomes manageable and the good and wonderful memories overtake the terrible burden of loss. I would like to offer my condolences to the family. I am sorry was unable to attend the viewing or the funeral as I am away on training.
