We were very sad to hear of Edna's death. She was a wonderful person and we have many fond memories of her. We were particularly pleased to have had Edma visit our home the last time she came west in 2002. Our condolences to all the family.

Edna was a school friend of Mary's during the 1940s. Mary and Edna found the joy of knowing Jesus Christ when they were teenagers and in high school together in Belleville. They traveled by bus to Kingston to visit at the Christian Youth Centre, where they had confirmation of their faith from Charlie Leach of the Centre. Mary and Gordon had the privilege of visiting Edna in the hospital at Kingston this last Monday. Although she was very distressed and uncomfortable, we looked at family pictures with her and reminisced about her life in Belleville, read Scripture together and prayed. It was an emotional and very satisfying experience of help to us, and I am sure also to her. She told us on her talking board about Joe and Doug, her daughters-in-law and grandchildren, and her love for them all.

I wish to extend my condolences to the family of Edna. I knew Edna through the Idle Ladies Bowling League. Edna enjoyed bowling and was very enthusiastic. We bowled on the same team a few years back.
