Dear Roy and Family, I was so shocked and saddened when I read in the Reporter last week of Jean's passing. Please accept my sincerest sympathies. I always regarded Jean as a Wonder Woman. I remember as a child going to a birthday party for Sherry, and I could not believe with all of the children to look after, she still found and made the time for birthday parties. This image of Jean continued when I would hear of all of her involvement in many organizations, especially Minor Hockey, and then I was witness to her further talents when I had the privilege of working with her at the Town Hall. The one day I really remember was in the middle of winter and Jean was going to go out for lunch when she discovered that someone had stolen her boots. I was shocked and angry that someone would do that to Jean, when she had done everything possible to help them, and that was the thanks that she got. In her true normal good spirit, she then went trotting down the path to King Street wearing Gary Drysdale's boots. Nothing could stop her from accomplishing what had to be done, no matter how big or small. She always had such a great smile and laugh, and I will never forget her. Take care of each other, and know that you are on my mind and in my heart. God bless. Sincerely, Corinne Wendt.
