Cathy McAlpin - We were saddened to hear of Chris's death. We remember him from Singleton Lake Campground, where he and Julie had a seasonal trailer for a few years. His trailer is still there and we think of them often when walking through the park. Please accept our deepest sympathy and convey our message to the rest of the Shortall families.

Dear Cathy, Perry and family. Our hearts are breaking for you. Randy didn't really know Chris. I will always remember the old days. Our younger years when life was full of fun and life. The best memory of Chris that I have was when we wee all kids, loaded up in your Dads truck and headed off for Chinese Food in Gan. We all had so many laughs and so much fun. There is no fun in this. I pray to the lord that he will try to help your pain right now. Try to hold you all in his arms and find you some kind of peace. I know it's not possible at this point. Just know That I love you and will be there for you if ever you need me or to talk.

How thoughts go out to Julie Kelsey and Kate. I know Chris was a Father, a brother,a boss ,and a really great friend. To some at first glance he would look like an every day guy but in truth he would give his family his friends just about anybody a good laugh a great friendship clean parking lot and driveways (lol) but you never see Chris not helping some one weather it be giving a guy a ride home at 1:30-2 am or a tow up a hill. i guess what i'm trying to say is Chirs was a helpful guy and a loving father great friend and the perfect boss. In turn we will always have Julie and the girls in our thought and our prayers Rest In Peace Chris You will be missed but not forgotten

I member the winter my mom got the truck for christmas and she hated to back the truck out of the driveway in the winter. So she got the bright idea of goin up the hill to back in. Well she got stuck half way up my mom texted me and said "I'm stuck" so me mark and Chris went to see how badly she was stuck. when we got there we jus sayed the easiest way would be pulling it up the hill. I still member the words Chris had said when we hooked his truck to the front of my mothers. "If i pull the bumper off... Oh well its my truck anyway" its memories like these that will keep Chris's spirit alive in us all. i know this memory made me laugh and i hope that when other people read it that it makes them laugh as well and see how much of a kidder chris was after 72 hours of no sleep. Thank you for reading this guys R.I.P. Chirs you will be missed but not forgotten.
