Obituary of Stanley Tozer

Tozer: Stanley Edward (1932 -2010) "What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal." - Albert Pine Stan Tozer passed away peacefully at home on September 3, surrounded by his loving family. A wonderful husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and great grandfather, Stan will be remembered with great fondness and affection. Stan is survived by his wife Irene (O'Hearn) Tozer, daughters Terri McFaul, Pam Fletcher, Kim Tedford, and Tina Emmons, and their families. Stan is also survived by his siblings Elaine Osborne and Brenda Lachance in Terrence, B.C., and their families. For all of us who knew Stan, he was one of the kindest, most caring, and unselfish individuals we've ever known. Stan's family wishes to thank all those who provided excellent care to Stan over the past few weeks, both at home and at the Kingston General Hospital. In particular, Stan and his family wish to acknowledge and thank Rosie and Nancy at the Stem Cell Unit. Parish prayers are scheduled for 1:45 pm on Monday, September 6 at Tompkins Funeral Home (63 Garden St., Gananoque). Visitation will follow from 2pm to 4pm, and 7pm to 9pm. There will be a mass of a Christian burial at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 7, at St. John the Evangelist Church (270 Stone St., Gananoque). Donations in Stan's memory can be made to your charity of choice.
