Peacefully at home with family present on Saturday March 6, 2010 Hilda Newell, beloved wife of the late Fred Sykes. Loving mother of Bob (Mary Zurrer), Sharon Clarke, Doug, Laura Dopp (Barry) and Justin (Teri Wing). Predeceased by 1 daughter Marilyn Sykes. Cherished grandmother of Leslie, Craig and Erin Sykes, James and Lauren Clarke, Sean and Ryan Dopp and Alex and Michael Wing. Dear sister of Agnes Mallory and David Newell. Predeceased by 3 sisters Clara Erickson, Margaret Skiff and Mary Moore, and by 2 brothers Thomas and William Newell. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Tompkins Funeral Home 63 Garden Street Gananoque on Tuesday evening from 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from our chapel on Wednesday March 10 at 11:00 am. Interment Olivet Cemetery. Donations made to the Hospital for Sick Children would be appreciated by the family
