It is with the deepest sadness that we learned of Doug’s passing. We have known Doug since 1991, he was a true friend, always willing to lead a helping hand no matter what the problem and one of those larger than life guys who you thought would live forever. We have many fond memories of Doug from being his tenants on Shore Road, visiting him in Kingston and Ardoc, and his visit to see us out here on the West Coast. Doug told it like it was. He was a great story and joke teller in his own right and his ready laugh and great sense of humour will be missed by all of us who knew him. Doug, may you rest in eternal peace. Andy and Ruth Budgell, Victoria, BC

Doug and Wendy Warren posted a condolence

To Lois, David, Bob and other family members We are very saddened by Doug's passing. He was a good friend to us for nearly ten yrs. after a chance meeting on P.E.I. We cherish our time spent with Doug and Lois, while camping and, especially, visiting with them in Ontario. We thank God for those memories because those special times walking the beach, eating lobster, looking at antique cars, playing cards, etc. will temper our profound sadness of losing Doug so suddenly. Lois, this is all 'too new' for all of us,,,,,,love, Doug & Wendy Andover, Maine, U.S.A.
