Lisa, I can't tell you how honoured I feel to have met your dad. My only regret was not having the time to visit with him when he asked me to come inside. He was so sweet and gentle, and lovely spirit of a man. I know only a vignette of your love of him was shared with me through those brief messages that followed my meeting him that day, but I know you loved him dearly. I am soo sorry to hear of this loss. I knew him only 6 months or so and in that little bit of time I gained a lot of respect for Jim. He will surely be missed by me and the kids. This world has lost a very good person and I just wished I had known him longer. I never saw that man with out a smile on his face.

"Uncle Jimmie" will stay in our hearts always. So many memories circle around him - sharing a lunch box treat with a small, shy grand niece, making a friend for life. Cooking a Christmas turkey no one could top, and putting up with practical jokes from enthusiastic children, nieces and nephews with good humour - eventually. To Jim, life was for living, enjoying family and friends, laughing and spending time together. We'll forever smile when we think of him.
