Bernita and family. I am so sorry to hear the news about Mac. I met Mac when I arrived in Gananoque and he began to make his sporadic visits to the newsroom with his insightful observations and tips. I enjoyed those visits as well as our subsequent meetings on the street, or at political events, after I moved on to other pursuits. Perhaps you already know, but he always followed up his pointed remarks with news about his family of which he was so very proud. I am honoured to have known Mac and to have learned from him and equally honoured that he always gave up his time to talk. He will be missed.

Aunt Bernita and kids, We are so sorry and very sad to lose Uncle Mac. We wish we could be there in person to give you all hugs. But please know we are there in our thoughts and prayers and wrap you in ours and God's love. God Bless you all. I will never forget the last time I was there with Susan, enjoying your great company and walks down memory lane in your backyard full of flowers. Special memories I will keep in my heart always.
