Obituary of Joseph Galway

Galway: Joseph Joseph passed away on July 30, 2016 at Carveth Care Centre at age 99. Beloved husband of Ruby for 71 years. Dear father of James (Judy), Janis and Susan (Chris). Much loved grandfather of Shawn, Andrew, Greg, Mark, Katie, Laura and David. Cherished brother of Roy, Fannie and June. The family will receive friends at the Tompkins Funeral Home 63 Garden St. Gananoque on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held in Grace United Church on Saturday August 6 at 11am. A reception in the Church hall will follow. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to Willowbank cemetery or to Grace United Church would be appreciated by the family. Joe spent much of his working life in agriculture. He was National Secretary of the National Farm Radio Forum and Manager of the Gananoque Co-op as well as holding positions with the provincial government. The family would like to thank the staff at Carveth Care Centre and Fox Run Retirement Residence for the wonderful care given to Joe.
