Higgins: John (Jack)
Peacefully with his family by his side at the Kingston General Hospital on Friday December 26, 2008.
Jack Higgins at the age of 78 was a devoted family man who in his early years was an avid paddler with the Gananoque canoe club, he played baseball and coached minor hockey in Gananoque. Jack is survived by his wife of 55 years Mary La Sha. Proud Father to Patricia Lynn Pilon and her husband Andre of Lansdowne, Christopher of Ottawa, Susan and John Jr. both of Gananoque. Grandfather of Phillip and his wife Christine. Great Grandfather of Devon and Kiersten. Dear brother of Jean Tregunna. Survived by sister in-laws Dorothy Higgins and Betty (Higgins) Lloyd. Predeceased by his parents Marion and Bernard Higgins, brothers Mike and Bob and 1 sister Betty (Higgins) Smith. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. At the family's request there will be no visitation. Mass of Christian burial will be held in St. John the Evangelist Church Stone St. Gananoque on Tuesday December 30 at 11am. Interment St. John's cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to the Gananoque Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
