In the last year I had the pleasure and honour of working with Ed to make a video of his presentation on the making of the St. Lawrence Seaway that he photographed from his airplane. The video was a life's work and was of great importance to Ed. Although it was physically difficult for him, he pressed on with determination through the several months it took to complete. From start to finish he was always was always cheerful, humorous, and the consummate gentleman. His example gave me a lesson to live by and the time spent working with him a memory to treasure.
