Obituary of Edna McCalpin

McCalpin: Edna (Long-time Member of Grace United Church) Peacefully in her 93rd year at the Kingston General Hospital with family by her side on Tuesday May 24, 2016. Edna Armstrong, beloved wife of the late Earl McCalpin. Much loved mother of Barbara Arthur (Randall), Brian, and Gayle DiLauro (Paul). Cherished grandmother of Jennifer Standen (Jeff), Kimberly Joseph (Ed), Matthew Arthur, Sara DiLauro (Ross), Chris DiLauro (Dianne) and Michelle DiLauro (Jack). Great grandmother of Emily, Sara, Isaiah and Emmett. Predeceased by 1 sister Myrtle Montgomery and 8 brothers Gordon, Edward, Milton, Claude, Kenneth, Lorne, Allan and Graham Armstrong. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Edna will be fondly remembered as a dedicated teacher by her many students. The family will receive friends at the Tompkins Funeral Home 63 Garden Street Gananoque on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in Grace United Church on Friday May 27 at 11:00 am. Interment at Gananoque Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Grace United Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family.
