Lisa and Family, I was very sad to hear of the passing of your Grandfather Jake. I have many fond memories of Jake from when I used to work with him at the rink many years ago. He was a very kind and gentle giant. Please cherish the memories you have of him and keep him close to your heart. Take care. Terri-Lynn Brawley
I remember Jake and all the Muskie he used to catch and mount. My grandma, Hilda Jones used to take me to his house and visit with his brother in-law Clark Mathews. Those were fun times. My heart goes out to all of his family. God Bless you all.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Roger. Your Dad was a wondeful man and always had time to make my kids laugh and tell them tales of fishing! Jake lived life to the very fullest and never had anything cross to say about anyone. May yoiu find peace knowing that your Dad brought Love and Joy to so many people who will never forget him.
Much Water has flown under the Bridge since I last visited with Jake but I have never forgotten or will forget the kind and wonderful gentlemen that he will always remain. My first encounter with Jake was at the Gananoque Arena where my son Howie was playing with the Napanee Hockey Team against the Gananoque team and I truly thought he was the Man from Glad with the white hair and sideburns. Jake is truly a legend in Gananoque and also in our Hearts. A man to be looked up to, admired and respected. Our heartful thoughts go out to Jake's Family.. Bill, Elsie, & Howie & Stephanie Dowdle & Family. Napanee, Ontario.
Lisa and family We are so sorry about your Grandpa. He was a great guy. I got to know him better these past months and found when he was feeling up to it he loved to talk about his family and fishing of course. Take care. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. Love Sam and Dale
To all the Family, Our Deepest Condolences at this most difficult time. Jake's gentle smile and inquisitive way will be missed. We have missed seeing Jake out getting the mail or newspaper, he had always been a soft-spoken soul in his cap and Khakis. Over the years, Rob has told the girls many stories of "Muskie Jake" and proudly shown them which lures Jake had given him as a young fella. Our community will miss the true legend he was. Our Prayers.... The Morgan Family
Roger, Gloria, Lisa, Stephen & granddaughters: We were sorry to hear of Uncle Jake's passing. He was always well thought of in the Gananoque community & respected by all. Our thoughts & prayers are with you all. Love from the Tedford & Thompson families.
Roger, and Gloria, I am sorry to hear of your Dad's passing He will go down in Gananoque's history. I don't think there is a man, women or child in the area that did not know who Muskie Jake was. What a great honour for him to be remembered as a legend. God Bless Barb
