Obituary of Ioleen Bovey

Ioleen Frances Bovey At the age of 96, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 10th, 2016. She will be lovingly remembered for her powerful inner strength which she cultivated through her belief in the necessity for kindness and strong faith. Ioleen truly walked in step with her faith; she was a steadfast role model to all who met her. Predeceased by the love of her life, Jack and her son, Richard. She will be missed by her children, Reginald (Flo Bovey), Gerry (Mary Ann Bovey), Mary (Chuck Bulch), and Joseph (Heather Bovey); her grandchildren Pam (Richard), Jan (Tony), Gerry Jr. (Edie), Mark, Nancy (Terry), Kristen, Heather (Armel), Rebecca (Eric), Patrick (Jessica), Emily (Dan), Chelsea (Sean), Jody(Sam) and Shannon (Vaughn); and her great grandchildren Kate, Reg, Jack, Elly, Ross, Mathew, Jocelyne, Tiffany, Morgan, Alex, Thomas, Gabby, Colleen, Hillary, Stella, Addison, Emma, Rose, and Oliver. Ioleen was predeceased by ten of her eleven siblings; Kay, Alice, Jean, Phyllis, Marguerite, Marcella, Lappan, Gerry, Frank, and Doris. She will be missed by her sister, Irene. Family will receive friends at the Tompkins Funeral Home 63 Garden St. Gananoque on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. John the Evangelist Church on Wednesday January 13 at 1pm. Interment St. John's cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to the St. John's Restoration Fund or to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
