My deepest sympathy to all the Beseau family. I had the privilege of knowing and working with Rick for 8 years while he was an elected representative for the CAW members at the Woodstock Parts distribution Centre. Although I was on the opposite side of the bargaining table from Rick, he always impressed me and we became friends. The mere fact he was reelected so many times is testimony to the fondness his coworkers felt towards him. I know he appreciated and respected their votes. I always found Rick well-prepared and knowledgeable of every issue we ever talked about. It was very clear his interest was his co-workers and he felt a deep obligation to them. He was always cheerful, willing to participate and made wise, well-thought-out decisions. I will make a donation to the Cancer Society in his memory. Denis Meloche Labour Relations - General Motors of Canada retired 2002.

Jan and Family, Rick was a good friend. We had spent many hours over the years talking and sharing with each other. He had a passionate love for his family and his C.A.W. family. He worked diligently to provide fair representation to all those who needed it. I will never forget the night we spent at his cottage in 1994. My New York Rangers won the Stanley Cup. I will miss him and his friendship. I will keep you in my prayers at this very difficult time.

Hi. I am a friend of Teds. I just wanted to say that this memorial site is very heartfelt and beautiful. I did not know Rick, but if he was anything at all like his son Ted, then he was very loving, kind, sweet, caring, and polite. Someone that one is glad to know. I understand the pain and you are never alone ...my 53 year old brother suffered almost 4 years with lung cancer. The hardest part has been seeing my parents, 81 and 90, in grief over their son. It hurts. I get angry, cry, and think back to who my brother was before he was diagnosed...then I smile and feel warm with the memories I have of him...and I cherish them. My heart goes out to each and every one of you.You have my deepest sympathy and many hugs to all. Thanks for letting me share here with you. "Kat" Markle

I will always remember Rick as a great guy to ride to work with. It was a pleasure to have Rick represent me as a employee of General Motors in dealings between the CAW and the company. He was a gentleman at all time. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Jan and family: We are all saddened by the news of Rick's passing. Rick will be remembered in the Woodstock warehouse for being very professional in his elected union positions. We, also, will always remember him for his blue smock, with the master contract stuffed in the outside pocket, fashion statement. Rick spent so many years winning the fights for the members that he represented, but his most valiant fight was with the cancer that finally beat him. Our thoughts are with you in this time of loss. All the Woodstock GM CAW Employees
