Brennan: Joseph Raymond (Ray)
On Wednesday, June 24th, 2015, Ray passed away peacefully at the age of 97 at Carveth in Gananoque in the presence of his cherished wife Rita and loving daughter Wendy. He was a WWII veteran, prominent business man (Brennan's Marine) and well-known man from the Gananoque community. Ray had a large, loving family who will miss him greatly. He has three daughters (with Marguerite Mallen/Brennan/Waldren) Gail McGuire (Jim), (with Edith Munden/Parks) Holly Bell and Wendy Charboneau (Brent), five stepsons (with Eva Griffin/Meggs) Rick Meggs (predeceased) (Diana) and Bill Meggs (Linda), (with Rita Walker/Jackson) Larry Jackson (Susan), Stephen Jackson, Murray Jackson (Ann), and one stepdaughter Carole Brennan (Kenneth). He will be forever missed by his grandchildren: Kari-Lynn Forbes (Ian), Katie Charboneau, Terry Andress, Darren Andress (Dana), Richmond Meggs (predeceased), Erin Meggs, Angela Rankin (David), Laura Meggs, Leanne Brennan, Craig Brennan, Stacy Jackson, Kyle Jackson and Kayla Jackson. Ray was also the loving great-grandfather to Hailey, Ava, Lindsey, Chad, Nicholas, Eric, Paul, Dylan, Eva, George, and Cody. Ray is predeceased by one sister, Rita, and four brothers Leonard, Hugh, Douglas, and John (Jack). He leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Ray was a phenomenal man who will be greatly missed by many. Rest peacefully. The family will receive friends at the Tompkins Funeral Home 63 Garden Street Gananoque on Tuesday June 30 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated in our chapel on Wednesday July 1 at 11:00 am. Internment, Gananoque Cemetery. Donations can be made on his behalf to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
