I had the privilege to share several writing classes with Jacqui over the past few years. She was such a bright light in the class, always a smile for everyone and her stories both moved and entertained us. Although never a hair out of place, Jacqui was quick to laugh both with you and at herself. She shall be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure to study and learn with her. Mary Lynn Richardson

I and Gloria were priviledged to work with Jacqui at The Seniors Centre and call her our friend. Her vibrancy, determination, deication and attention to detail made her a driving force in a number of committees and projects for the Seniors Assocaition. The fashion show was one of her pet projects and it will go ahead in her honour in April highlighting the Tangerine Red colour trend that she championed! She was a special person and gave so much to all. Her lust for life was so appreciated and she will be remembered with love and respect. We and everyone here will miss her terribly but her legacy lives on.

I met Jacqui for the first time this winter in a story writing class. She struck me as one who lived life to the full. Her writing reflected her philosophy and so I was fortunate to meet her where I could hear her read her stories. My sincere sympathies to all who loved Jacqui. She will be missed.

I've shared some fine writing moments over the last several years with Jacqui. She's made my classroom a fun and winning place. I will share "The Elephant in the Room", her December/January personal essay on her illness, with her writing colleagues. It is a testament to her faith, her fear, and her writing life. My heartfelt sympathies to her family.

To the Campbell family: When I think of Jacqui I have and will always smile. It has been a great pleasure to have worked along side her here at The Seniors Centre, and I will never forget the joy she brought to our lives. We will do our best to keep the same quality, style and attention to detail at our future Fashion Shows that she helped to achieved since she took over their planning this past year. On a personal note, she is and will continue to be an insperation to me. Seeing her here every week except when she was travelling and seeing the world, while accepting and dealing with such tragic health news. If I ever feel sorry for myself I will think of her!

Jacqui if I had known last week when I sat beside you in class I would never see you again I would have said how much I admired you. I would have said: "Jacqui seeing you, usually 'dressed to the nines,' frequently made me reflect in my mirror and try a little harder." Hearing your lust for life gave me pause to readjust my thoughts. Jacqui, you were an inspiration to me. Thank you for sharing your writing with us. But...did I ever tell you I thought it was really, really good? Jacqui if possible I would be glad to contribute to a fund to have a small book of your writing published so your friends and acquaintances will have something of you to hold in our hands. Kay Rogers - Senior Centre Creative writing group.
