Obituary of Nadine Plumpton

Plumpton: Nadine (Nee Dunphy) May 9, 1928-January 9, 2015 Nadine was a dedicated wife, deeply loved, truly going to be missed and survived by her husband Neil for 65 years. Born to and predeceased by her parents Noel and Isabella Dunphy of Kingston. She is also predeceased by her brothers Joe (Doris), Norman (Joyce), Howard (Betty), Orval (Jeannie), and Wilfred, also her sisters Alma (Norm), Betty and Gloria(John). She is survived by her sisters Virginia (James) and Madeline (Ken). Nadine was adored by her 8 children oldest to the youngest David (Lee), Jane (Wayne), Joan (Ron), Dianne (son Greg) Robert (Arlene), Cindy (Ernie), Gina (Rob) and Tom (Stephanie). Nana will be proudly missed by her 16 Grandchildren Christina, Stephanie, Doug, Michael, Ken, Andrew, Greg, James, Michael, Jenna, Lisa, Shona, Jessica, Christopher, Danielle and Connor. Cherished Great Nana of 10 Great Grandchildren -Jeremy, Brandon, Taylor-Jane, Jordon, Colton, Austin, Regan, McKenna, Matthew and Bradley. Aunt Nadine will truly be missed by her many nephews and nieces whom loved her dearly. Nadine was a devoted Catholic and a great believer in prayer especially to the Virgin Mary whom has helped her get through times of need. Nadine always prayed for her children in which she was greatly proud of. Nadine was a CWL (Catholic Women's League) member for 20 years. Mom we love you, we miss you and you will always be remembered in our prayers. The family will receive friends at the Tompkins Funeral Home 63 Garden St. Gananoque on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church, Gananoque on Monday January 12 at 11:30 am. Rite of committal will be held in St. John's cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to the CWL Gananoque or to the Heart & Stroke foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
