My deepest condolence to Larry, Ken & the family. I was given life's special gift of meeting Augusta (Mommy) several years ago through her family. My life has been blessed & enriched by her. Mommy would wrap her heart & soul around strangers. Her deepest love was for her family, she will always be watching over them. Mommy was a rare, compassionate, nurturing, brave beyond words lady who has touched many hearts. We could all learn from her. She welcomed me as a daughter & friend thru private words, struggles & silliness. To hear her tender voice say to me "I love you dear" will be words I will always cherish. She is the most amazing of all her angels she collected. I love you Mommy! We all do.

Dear Larry and Ken and families. I was so sorry to hear the news about Aunt Gussie and wish that I could be there for the service this Saturday. My thoughts will by with you all. I am so glad that I was able to have a visit with her this past October when I was home. I have also enjoyed looking at the pictures that have been posted of Aunt Gussie on this site. Hugs to you all. Linda

From the moment I met Gussie I knew she would be an important person in my life. She was the kind of loving individual you could trust and count on. She was never unkind or judgemental. She gave fully of herself with no reservations. She was the kind of person we hope to have as an in-law, and I was lucky enough to have experienced that. She never offered advice without being asked. Gussie was the kind of person we should all strive to be, a saint in my books. I know we hadnt seen each other much in the past few years but I know she knew I loved her dearly and I'll miss her amazing smile.

Mia was having a rouigh week at school last week, so her teacher phoned home to let us know and express her concern. I filled her in on the situation with her great grandma and she said that would explain why she was "praying" for her everyday.
When Grandma Gussie passed away she went to school and informed Mrs Reynolds that her Nana Gussie was now in heaven. Mrs Reynolds told Mia that, that was where her father was too. Mia said to her "Maybe they are having tea together" I thought that was so cute coming from a 4 year old.
Last night, Mia asked if there was a phone in heaven, and I politely told her unfortunately there wasn't. She would have to talk to nana through prayer, and she was ok with that!

To the family of Augusta Steacy I have known Gussie for a number of years and have spent a lot of time with her since her time in Carveth. She was a kind and gentle lady who never wanted to be a burden on anyone. I spent a lot of time with her in the earlier part of this week and even though she was so sick she always had a please and thankyou and that beautiful gentle smile. May she rest comfortably now and I hope the memories of your mother give you comfort in the times ahead of you. Connie Turcotte
