Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday December 14, 2014 at the age of 67. Barb Veley, beloved wife of 30 years to Terry Thompson. Loving mother of Brian Abrams (Susan) of Delta. Predeceased by her parents Earl and Jennie Veley. Cherished grandmother of Shelby. Dear sister of Betty Cumpson (Glen), Ken Veley (Gloria) and Beverly Washer. Predeceased by 3 brothers Donald and Robert Veley and Mike Neddow and by 2 nieces Carrie Thompson and Bonnie Hornbeck. Dearest sister in law of Brian (Shiela), Colleen Tedford (Ray), Ron (Anneke) and Tim (Lori). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Liturgy of the word to be held in our chapel on Wednesday December 17 at 1:00 pm. Internment St. Johns Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations made to the UHKF Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
