Although Reg was a star for the Islanders, I always wandered why he wasn't focused before the games.
One day, I came to the rink early and I discovered why. Reg was fixated on a beautiful, graceful young skater, twirling around the ice!
Soon, I found out that Jackie, had the same fixation for Reg. I had never winessed such love at first sight! They were destined for each other, as their chldren will attest.
I am so proud of Jackie and Reg and the people they grew up to be. Jackie will live forever in the lives of their children. Elizabeth and I share in the sadness of losing Jackie but also in the joy of knowing the happiness and legacy that lives through her.
God bless you Reg and kids and may Jackie rest in peace. It was an honour to know her.
