Obituary of Ruth Tindal

TINDAL MARGARET RUTH (1925 - 2014) MEMBER OF BETA SIGMA PHI SORORITY FOR 57 YEARS In her 89th year, peacefully at Kingston General Hospital on Saturday, June 14, 2014, with her family by her side. Ruth Carey, beloved wife of Thomas Howard Tindal for 67 years. Loving Mother of Michael (Elaine), Alliston, Deborah (Kevin), Kingston and Susan, Gananoque. Dearest Grandmother of Allison (Darryl) Newmarket, Tom (Victoria) Guelph and Michael Arthur, Alliston. Sister-in-law of Ronald Clyde (Kingston), Fran Downey (Kingston), Ruth Todd (Brockville) and Janice Tindal (Morrisburg). Predeceased by dear Sisters, Hilda (Ken) Gray, Helen (Ed) Wright and Rita (Ron) Clyde and Brothers Gordon (Phyllis), George (Helen), Allen (Ruby) and Robert Carey. Ruth was a member of the Ontario Gama IOTA Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Grace United Church, Kingston General Hospital Auxilliary, The Gananoque Historical Society and was a former member of The Gananoque Curling Club and The Gananoque Golf Club. She participated in numerous Bridge Clubs and Marathons throughout the years. An avid knitter, reader and a cook with flair, she loved her plants and flowers. A good friend to many, Ruth still actively enjoyed a game of Bridge, Euchre and Scrabble. A Private, Family Graveside Service, with Inurnment, (in keeping with Ruth's request) will be held at Gananoque Cemetery. Following, BETA SIGMA PHI, will hold a brief Sorority Service at a Family Reception, Grace United Church, Gananoque. On behalf of Ruth and her family, we wish to thank all of her friends and family for their good wishes, cards, visits, caring and support. Special thanks to the wonderful K.G.H. medical team.
