Coates: John William Passed away peacefully with family by his side at the Kingston General Hospital on Thursday May 22, 2014 at the age of 73. Beloved husband of the late Patricia Denique. Much loved father of Stephen (Cindy Carstesen) and Stephanie Coates. Cherished grandfather of Dalton and Jacob O'Hara, and Noah Coates. Dear brother of Ernie and Sheridan Coates. Predeceased by twin sister June Burnett and by 1 brother Lawrence. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday May 28 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Celebration of John's Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations made to the UHKF Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family. The family wishes to thank the caring staff of Kidd 9 and the Palliative Care Doctors at the KGH during Johns illness.
