KENNY, Gwendolyn Mae (Hutcheson) - February 01 1920 - March 10 2014 - Passed away peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital at age 94 with her family present. Devoted and loved mother of Douglas (Ruth) of Sunbury, Barbara of Brewers Mills, Linda Borger (Albert) of Foxboro and Bruce (Brenda) in Calgary. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Gerald Kenny, in 1971, son Gordon in 1975 and son Brian in 1980. Daughter of the late Clarence and Jean Hutcheson. She is survived by a brother, Gordon Hutcheson (Norma) of Mississippi Lake, Ontario and a sister, Mabel Stirling (Colin) of Milk River, Alberta. She is also survived by her grandchildren Eric Borger (Becky), Amanda McKeown (Dan), Stephen Kenny (Jessica), Alex Kenny, Adam Kenny and seven great-grandchildren. During the 1960 's and 1970's, Gwen worked as a nurse at the Kingston General Hospital (including time as head nurse on Watkins 3) and at the Queen's University Arthritis Centre. As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to the Pine Grove Free Methodist Church or the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation. The family will receive friends at the TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOME , 63 Garden St., Gananoque on Friday 14 March, between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 15 2:00 pm at the Pine Grove Free Methodist Church on Pine Grove Road, Brewers Mills followed by a reception. We would like to thank Dr. O'Connor and Tanya Abrams of the Seeley's Bay Medical Clinic for their wonderful care over the past few years and more recently Kingston Regional Cancer Clinic and the staff of Kidd 9, KGH.
